At Empower Canine, we build dogs that work in real life — on busy trails, at outdoor restaurants, in the chaos of a front door opening at the wrong moment. Dogs that come back when you call even when there's a squirrel. Dogs you can actually take places.
We work with families across the Denver metro area who love their dog but are tired of feeling like they have zero control. The pulling, the ignoring, the embarrassing moments in public — we've seen it all, and we've helped families move past all of it.

Hi I'm Hector...
Six years ago I fell in love with dog training the hard way — through a hands-on apprenticeship where I learned that real training isn't about making a dog obey. It's about building a relationship where your dog genuinely wants to listen.
Since then I've dedicated myself to learning from the best in the world. I've trained under two of the most advanced balanced training programs available — earning both an E-Collar Certification and a Gold-level student certification that less than a handful of trainers in Colorado hold. What that means for you: I don't guess. I know exactly why your dog is doing what they're doing, and I know exactly how to fix it in a way that's fair, clear, and lasting.
I also compete — seriously — in Protection Sports Association (PSA) dog sports. I serve as Assistant Director and Training Decoy for High Country Working Dogs, the most accomplished PSA club in Colorado. My own dogs have earned top placements at the national level.
I tell you this not to impress you, but because it matters. The skills that make a dog perform under extreme pressure in competition are the same skills that make your dog reliable on a hike, trustworthy at the dog park, and calm when your kids' friends come running through the front door.
My goal is simple: I want you to feel proud of your dog again. To stop dreading walks. To start actually enjoying the animal you chose to bring into your life.
